The Saudi Government has decided to use the Saudi Development Fund to provide Rs.7.895 billion towards the project’s construction (SDF).
NHA will carry out the project’s tunnels component on a deposit work basis, under the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council’s (ECNEC) directive.
It is important to note that the ECNEC has authorised a revised project for the building of the 109.2 km Neelum Valley Road portion in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, which includes two tunnels at Kahori, Kamser, and Challpani.
The amended project’s decreased scope of work and updated rationalized cost of Rs.9.0108 billion were both authorised by the ECNEC.
