The prime minister said that Rs4.80 billion had been contributed to the prime minister’s account for flood survivors during his visit to rain-damaged districts in Khairpur on Wednesday. He also noted that additional donations were anticipated.
Even though PM Sharif claimed that recovery efforts were well under way nationwide, there were still a number of submerged regions in Khairpur and Dadu.
The government will press forward with reconstruction and rehabilitation efforts, but at least eight million families were currently affected by the rain, he stated.
He went on to say that there were at least 20 million individuals waiting for assistance from the government, including 9 million children.
