ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority’s (CDA) finance department has authorised the transfer of Rs.500 million for the Bhara Kahu bypass project. (Reported by news source)
The project is moving along quickly, and the government has instructed the CDA to finish it by the end of the month. The CDA had already issued Rs2.5 billion of the total of Rs6.5 billion, and on Monday, a further allocation of Rs500 million was also approved.
Over 60% of the construction has already been finished, including the interchange’s girders and all of the road’s earthwork. In the meantime, all three underpasses and more than 50% of the bridge’s construction have been finished.
The 1-kilometer flyover region is also being worked on, albeit at a quite slow pace. “We are working nonstop to finish the project in the upcoming months. Hopefully, we’ll get it done, but the tricky flyover part might take longer.
The finance wing had promised to pay additional instalments in the upcoming weeks after the engineering wing requested the release of Rs3 billion, but only Rs500 million was actually made available.
