RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Development Authority convened a meeting on Thursday to discuss the building of the Tourism Highway Project. (Reported by news source)
During the meeting, the construction work on the project was examined, and Nespak was given instructions to step up efforts for a swift conclusion. The relevant authorities were given instructions to finish the tourist highway’s gaps.
According to Tariq Mehmood Murtaza, after the project is finished, tourists will have access to travel facilities, and locals will also profit from it.
The 123-kilometer tourism highway’s foundation stone was formally placed in April of last year. It runs from Rawat Pandori Chowk to the three hilly tehsils of Rawalpindi Kahuta, Kotli Sattian, and Murree before ascending to Lower Topa and Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The project would be finished for Rs 4.75 billion in cost.
Additionally, 200,000 trees would be planted on either side of the street. In addition to green spaces, services would be offered to promote tourism.
