ISLAMABAD: With assistance from the National Logistics Cell, Pakistan Railways is anticipated to complete renovation and repair work on the vital Sibbi-Harnai railway route by the end of January 2023. (Reported by news source)
The track suffered severe damage in 2006, and as of this writing, roughly 95 percent of the project’s rehabilitation work has been finished, with the remaining work soon to follow.
They claimed that due to long-term improper maintenance, 10 railway stations became inoperable.
In March 2016, they claimed that the NLC had been given a contract to upgrade the railroad stations as well as repair and restore the Sibbi-Harnai railway route.
Fabricating steel bridges was the main challenge. Nine railway stations and tracks have been upgraded by NLC engineers, including the reconstruction of Harnai Railway Station and a complete renovation of Sibbi Railways Station, which can be regarded as the best railway station in Balochistan. The steel bridges were manufactured in Karachi and transported all the way to the project site after being painstakingly assembled there.
