ISLAMABAD: The threat of rapidly rising raw material prices hurt the nation’s construction sector in December, causing the local price of steel goods to increase for the fourth time. (Reported by news source)
Domestic steel firms that are typical of the country’s northern manufacturing environment increased the cost of steel rebars by Rs.5,000 per ton on Wednesday. According to JS Research, retail prices are currently in the range of Rs.218,000–220,000 per ton.
Our channels checks have also revealed that Mughal Steel has raised the prices for Mughal Supreme & Mughal G-60 effective December 28, 2022, by Rs.5000 per metric ton.
The cost of steel rebars was raised by Rs 2,000 per ton by steel producers approximately a week ago. Cold Rolled Coil and Hot Dipped Galvanized Coil have seen significant price increases from Aisha Steel Mills Limited of Rs.2,000 per ton and Rs.218,900 per tons, respectively.
The current market climate is not good since manufacturers must pass the cost on to consumers as a result of rapidly growing input costs.
