ISLAMABAD: Before running any ads on TV networks, private housing societies are required to obtain No Objection Certificates (NOCs) from the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA). (Reported by news source)
The decision was made at the authority’s 175th meeting, which Chairman Muhammad Saleem Baig presided over, according to a news release.
Developers must obtain a NOC from PEMRA in order to market home developments, and they can only do this after obtaining a NOC from the appropriate development authorities.
It said that housing societies would risk disciplinary action if they conducted advertising activities without seeking NOC from the authorities.
The administration granted permission for the Primary and Secondary Health Departments of Lahore to obtain non-commercial FM radio licences.
Additionally, M/S Galaxy Broadcasting Network (PVT) Ltd.’s request to switch satellite TV channel 11 HD’s language so that it could broadcast in Sindhi was granted by the authorities.
