LAHORE: On Friday, the Punjab cabinet authorised the inclusion of underground mass transport projects for the blue and purple lines as well as an underground transit system for Lahore. (Reported by news source)
The CM stated that he did not want to harm Lahore by establishing an underground railway system at the time. The Blue Line, Purple Line, and public transportation projects will be launched with assistance from the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
He continued by saying that no funding will be provided by the Punjab government and that the project will be conducted on a build-operate-transfer basis.
From Valencia Town, the subway would travel to Karma Chowk, Liberty Chowk, and Data Darbar before arriving at the airport.
Eight significant Orange Line train stations would also be constructed. The Planning and Development Board and the Transport Department were also given permission by the cabinet to discuss technical support and funding with the ADB.
