ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has eliminated the demand for a No Objection Certificate (NOF) from its Building Control Directorate (BCD) for family transfers of residential property. (Reported by news source)
The Member Estate’s overview of the changes to the civic agency’s property manual was authorised by CDA. Residents of Islamabad will feel a great deal better as a result of the change in service delivery.
In the case of family transfers and gift deeds, residents will no longer be needed to get BCD’s NOC for non-conforming use or by-law infractions (transfer of property to family members through gift).
Residents are need to submit an affidavit, though, guaranteeing that any building that doesn’t abide by the rules will be torn down in three months. Prior to the transfer, the property owner was previously compelled to dismantle the unauthorized construction.
The NOC validity duration was increased from three months to one year by CDA in its most recent amendments to the property handbook. However, the subsequent property owner would have to submit an application for a fresh NOC.
